Cookie making a success!

Tomorrow, I'm hosting a Tea Party for parents. It's a way for them to come see literacy activities in play, and talk to us about how they can work with their kiddos over the summer to practice the skills they have learned this year, as well as how to increase them. Most of our preschool kids are not native English speakers, so we have lots of things to show parents. :)  Anyway, as a pre-event, our entire building (pre-k through 6 yr. olds) made cookies, which will be served at the tea party tomorrow. I had 3 stations set up. One was cookie decorating, one was making chocolate chip cookies, and one was making oatmeal cookies. The kids rotated through the groups and seemed to have a really good time. The cookies turned out well. A big thanks went to the two parents who did the decorating station. We appreciated the help! I sure hope parents turn up tomorrow to see how easy and FUN literacy can be.  I am going to bask in the enjoyment of watching 3,4,5,and 6  yr olds making cookies for the event. What fun we had!
