Here in Kazakhstan, we get lots of entertainment of the finer arts to choose from. I've been to Swan Lake, the opera, and art exhibits - all for under $10. Tonight was different though. I actually paid "American prices". Why? Because the performers were American! The Bad Boys of Ballet were in town and worth every penny!
This is definitely not your typical ballet, with classical music. Now, having said that, the music is "classic". We jammed to Queen, AC/DC, Michael Jackson, Prince, U2, Journey, and many more great artists. The dancing was like watching "So you think you can dance", only more energetic. It was fun-filled and constant. There are only 5 guys who manage the entire show, with the help of one girl chosen from the local ballet company. She was amazing as well. The chemistry between them all was just unbelievable. And, as if the dancing and music were not enough to be happy about, let me just say that watching these five men perform was "easy on the eyes". :) Kazakhstan may be behind in a lot of things, but bringing culture to the city is not one of them. I am so appreciative of all of the amazing things I get the chance to see here. Now, if it would just warm up some!
