It's true....good friends don't fade.

While I've been here, I've gotten a tad ticked off at some of my friends for not keeping in touch.  I know, people always say they will and life just moves on. But, there are always a certain few you expect to do the job. There were times I wanted to desperately to talk to a particular friend and they weren't around. You get upset. You doubt your friendship. Then, you skype with them and it all fades away. You want to still be mad, but you can't. Why not? Because you know that at some point in time, you have been that friend too. People do not truly mean to lose touch (usually), but it happens. As long as they are there for you when you really need them, isn't that all that matters?

Now, for those "friends" who are on Facebook or other sites and can't even take the time to say hello or chat when I say hello, then you know they are the "acquaintances" you will keep, but don't trust or really need in your life. They are not your real friends. Soon, I'll be back in the States and visiting my family and friends that really do matter. And that makes me very happy - even if they didn't keep in touch as often as I had hoped for. :)

  1. I had, or have, the same problem. But, there came a point in my life when I had to decide if they are worth keeping around. There are many people on my facebook page that I haven't heard from. And that makes me sad. I've reached out multiple times and got no reply. So, I have been compiling a delete list and will probably weed out the people I don't talk to. But, I feel bad for getting rid of them and I keep thinking things will change, but they don't. I hope you have a great time visiting with your family and friends. :o)
